Of New Semester and New Room

.... before that, phew! First semester in architecture is indeed crazy and got me killed for a moment there but I made it. We all made it safely.

... and now, it's short semester! Which marks the end of my first year in Gombak and that means one thing.

Moving into a new room, in new block but unfortunately the same mahallah. My new room is now located at the very back of my mahallah, 3 blocks away from my old block and I had about 15 trips going back and forth from my old room. Hell, I have a lot of stuffs! .... and almost a quarter of them were gotten rid by me by the time I managed to rearrange my room back. Huh! 

One of the thing that I find unpleasant in my study plan is the subjects that I need to take during the short semesters. ALL short semesters. Say goodbye to the 3 months vacation for the next 3 academic years~

Anyway, as for this semester I only take one subject. Though I do have Tilawah to take but nah~ next semester maybe. I still haven't transferred all those Study Circles, Leadership, and Parenting into my new student Graduation Audit and definitely will do so in this upcoming semester. There's no way in hell I'm gonna go through all that again.

Yesterday, I went to watch Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart and the hot bod Chris Hemsworth (The big bro to Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus' fiance) with my best friend who is sadly going back to her country today. The movie was awesome. Well, I haven't been to movie with my friends for over a year so yeah. I can't really tell. but the movie is awesome, still.

As for today, I have major cleaning to do at my big bro's apartment. (I'm using his desktop right now). This keyboard is so damn awesome!

P.S.: I'm going back to Sabah next week for Adam's cukur rambut kenduri so, yes. Finally after 5 months, I'm going home. That marks the longest period I stayed in Peninsular Malaysia without coming back home.

I Wasn't Living

I was late this morning. I arrived at Lecture Theatre 1 exactly at 9.05 a.m. Thanks mum for giving me a name with N as my initial. Yeah, I bet some of you didn't know that here in Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design mostly known as KAED, we the KAEDians are required to come early (well, that's the cliche part, all students must do that) and by the time that your name was announced, you have to be present and reply as a remark of your being present. Therefore, if the lecturer called out your name, and particularly when you're late, you're counted as absent.

Not something that I've ever encountered when I was in Kuantan. Well, thanks to us being the largest number of batch in SCIENCESS history... If this were implemented, I bet the first half an hour are merely for taking attendance. 

Anyway, for the upcoming week, we're going to start on our assignment, whereby we're going to our respective assigned house and conduct observations, analysis, and etc and from all the data we're going to accumulated, we're gonna have to come up with some sort of design solution to improve the built environment around the existing house. 

The thing is, my group mates are among those who either just finished bridging level (like me and Huda) or just changed to architecture. One from Landscape Architecture, one from Urban and Regional Planning, one from Applied Art and Design, and one from Quantity Surveying Department. Hence, we all have different way of approaching certain assignments. 

It's a good thing I guess. But the most amazing thing that I found out, via my Culture and Human Behaviour in the Built Environment subject, second year students are just awesome with their crazy yet brilliant ideas, exhibited through recent 5-minutes video presentation during out previous class the week before the break. 

So far, all I'm hoping for is to be able to adapt to this department as soon as I can and I pray to Allah the Almighty, to give me strength to face all my challenges and to give me sufficient financial support (as you all know, this course demands high expenses unlike before, I just buy few books for the rest of the 2 years). 

But most importantly, my life has been changing so much. The campus, the people, the faculty and most importantly, the lifestyle. 

... and I guess all of them are good changes.

It's Time For Some Changes!

Ergo, new layout! :D I have been dreaming about this layout but seems can't find some time to apply it to this blog!

I know but starting this semester I am so busy with lots of things! Classes, MISI club, and sightseeing! No kidding! Merely for studying though~

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys! I am finally in architecture department!

Long story short, I started 3 weeks after the semester started. On the first day, I got 3 assignments to be submitted within 2 weeks and everything is just crazy from there up to now.

Anyway, all I'm saying I finally get what I've been working for during the previous year. 2011 is just... I don't know.. I can't even describe in words.

but 2012.. hopefully great things happen this year. Amin.
